Cheryl ClaytonAfter four years as Director of Clinical Services at Mater Private Hospital Redland, Cheryl Clayton commenced her role as Director of Nursing at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane on 12 July 2010.

Since joining Mater in 1999, Ms Clayton has held senior roles at Mater Mothers’ Hospital as the Nursing Director—Acute Services (Women’s and Children’s) and as Nursing Director at Mater Children’s Hospital.

From 2006, Ms Clayton worked as Director of Clinical Services for Mater Private Hospital Redland which was the highest ranked private hospital in Australia for patient satisfaction twice in the past two years, surpassing the other 148 private hospitals which survey through the Press Ganey organisation.

Ms Clayton’s clinical background has been mainly in the areas of acute and intensive care for adults, children and midwifery practice.

She is also the current Chair of the Mater Nursing and Midwifery Alumni.
