Chris Perkins

Chris Perkins was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Mater Health Services in July 2009.
He is responsible for the financial activities of Mater Health Services and plays an integral role in the financial stewardship of the organisation. He provides a strategic, commercial approach to the future development of Mater.
Mr Perkins' technical, financial and commercial acumen combined with tactical management and leadership skills have been built over many years in the financial services industry. They make him the ideal candidate for the role of Chief Financial Officer.
He believes that effective financial stewardship is crucial to ensuring the sustainability of Mater Health Services and the continuation of the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy.
Mr Perkins joined Mater in February 2006 as the Director of Decision Support. During this time he provided strategic and financial advice to the organisation and was pivotal in the development and implementation of improved budgeting and reporting systems.
Prior to joining Mater, Mr Perkins held a variety of corporate accounting and support roles including Business Manager (Queensland Regional Service) and Commercial Development Manager with national telecommunications provider, Telstra.
Mr Perkins holds an undergraduate degree in business majoring in accounting and marketing, a Master of Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
