Emergency Department
Mater Adult Hospital Emergency Department offers a 24 hour comprehensive emergency service staffed by experienced emergency doctors, nurses, training registrars and house officers.
Patients can self-present or be referred to the Emergency Department. Every patient is triaged by an experienced Registered Nurse on arrival to ensure that patients are treated in order of their clinical urgency. Patients who are assessed to be safe may have to wait longer for further assessment and treatment or even admission to the hospital.
