Emergency admissions
If you are more than 20 weeks pregnant, and you are experiencing pregnancy-related problems, or it has been less than six weeks since your baby’s birth, please go directly to the Mater Mothers’ Private Hospital Birth Suite on level 5. Please telephone Mater Mothers’ Private Hospital, on 07 3163 1785, to let us know of your impending arrival and a midwife will contact your obstetrician.
If you are less than 20 weeks pregnant, and have bleeding or pain, please call your obstetrician or the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit on 07 3163 5132. This specialist area deals specifically with problems in early pregnancy.
If you have a different health problem in early pregnancy please go directly to an Emergency Department, such as the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane Emergency Care Centre, 301 Vulture Street, South Brisbane. If your baby needs medical attention, please go directly to the Mater Children’s Hospital Emergency Department.
