8 South (Orthopaedics) is a 41 bed specialty unit. The main orthopaedic surgeries performed in the unit include:

• joint replacements
  • total and bi-lateral knee and hip replacements
  • #NOFs and knee reconstructions
• spinal surgery
  • laminectomy
  • discectomy
  • instrumented fusions
• upper limb surgery
  • shoulder acromioplasty and reconstructions, and
  • hand/finger surgery.
