Mater researcher wins Women’s Healthcare Australia Medal

Mater researcher A/Prof Vicki Flenady has been awarded the 2013 Women’s Healthcare Australia Medal for her contribution to mothers and babies, dedicating her research career to finding ways to prevent stillbirth.

Vicki was recognised by Women’s Healthcare Australia for her outstanding contribution at a national level to improving health of women through service provision, leadership and advocacy.

As Director of the Translating Research into Practice at Mater Research , Vicki works towards preventing stillbirth and works extensively on mothers and babies health projects.

The annual medal is given to researchers and individuals who, through their exceptional endeavours, contribute to significant improvements in women’s healthcare.
