MPHR excels in Press Ganey survey

Mater Private Hospital Redland (MPHR) has been ranked the number one private hospital in Australia for patient satisfaction in the last quarter, surpassing the other 148 private hospitals throughout the country whose patient satisfaction is subject to assessment by the Press Ganey organisation.

There is a sense of deja vu for MPHR, having achieved the number one ranking in the same quarter last year. In fact MPHR has been ranked in the top three for private hospitals of its size for the past five years.

“To be consistently the best does not occur through luck,” said Don Murray, Mater Private Hospital Executive Director. “It requires the commitment of all staff, no matter the area they work in, to enhancing the patient’s experience. The results of this latest survey reflect MPHR’s facility-wide approach to delivering the best in quality service and clinical outcomes.”

Cheryl Clayton, MPHR’s Director of Clinical Services said that maintaining such high standards requires a daily, concerted effort by every member of the team.

“Every day our staff and volunteers challenge themselves to improve the standard of care we provide to our patients,” said Ms Clayton. “The key to any successful health care setting is communication. That’s the core of our philosophy here at MPHR.”

“Congratulations to the Redland team, on behalf of Mater Private’s Executive, management team and everyone at Mater,” Don Murray said. “They have proven once again that exceptional people truly do provide exceptional care.”
