Mater Health Services is proud to announce the appointment of Madonna McGahan to the role of Executive Director Mission Leadership. Ms McGahan’s extensive health care background, combined with her outstanding qualifications, made her the ideal candidate for the position.

Ms McGahan commenced her career as a registered nurse and midwife before completing a Bachelor of Business Administration at Griffith University. She then occupied various senior positions in the Commonwealth Department of Health & Ageing in Policy Development and Program Management, before becoming the Director of Policy and Research and Senior Policy Adviser at Catholic Health Australia in Canberra for a number of years.

Ms McGahan has most recently been the National Director of Mission Strategy in Little Company of Mary (LCM) Health Care based in Canberra. This national position included responsibility for mission leadership and mission strategy throughout the extensive aged, community care and acute health care services offered by LCM Health Care—known throughout Australia under the "Calvary" identity.

During this time she also found time to complete a Master of Arts in Theology at the Sydney School of Divinity.

With her extensive health care background, Mater Health Services is looking forward to Ms McGahan’s contribution to both organisational strategy and policy at the executive level.
