Mater Health Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue McKee as the new Nursing Director at Mater Children’s Hospitals.

Mater Health Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue McKee as the new Nursing Director at Mater Children’s Hospitals.

Ms McKee is an experienced nurse of great skill and has more than 25 years clinical nursing experience across the public and private hospital sector.

She joins Mater from her most recent position as General Manager and Director of Nursing at Calvary Private Hospital and Peri-operative Services Manager of Calvary Healthcare ACT, a collocated facility.

During this time she was responsible for providing leadership, management and strategic direction across the clinical, financial and operational aspects of the facility.

Additional recent appointments include Director of Clinical Services at Nambour Selangor Private Hospital and Quality Improvement Officer for Mayne Health on the Sunshine Coast.

Ms McKee has a solid background in change management, financial performance and clinical, service and cultural improvement.

She looks forward to working with the staff of Mater Children’s Hospitals and the community in which it serves.

Ms McKee commenced her early nursing career at Nambour General Hospital and holds a Bachelor of Science (Applied Human Movement studies) from The University of Queensland, an MBA from Queensland University of Technology and is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Leadership (Catholic Culture) from the Australian Catholic University.

She is a member of the Royal College of Nursing Australia, the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
