Queensland Health & Mater Agreement

Queensland Health and Mater Health Services have entered into a unique agreement that brings the new Queensland Children’s Hospital one step closer.

We want to create an environment in the new hospital which is in harmony with the neighbouring Mater hospitals, one that supports families, patients and the staff who work there. The agreement outlines how this will be achieved through hospital governance, land tenure, leasing of space in the existing Mater Children’s Hospital building and car parking arrangements.

The vision that the Queensland Children’s Hospital will be a hospital not just for today, but one that meets the health care needs of Queensland children and young people into the future, has underpinned all decision-making and subsequent arrangements contained in it.
