Research
Mater has a strong focus on clinical research to complement its clinical practice, teaching and training. Mater is currently strengthening and growing research in our core specialty services and the integration of evidenced-based models.
Research on the campus spans basic science, population-based epidemiology and clinical epidemiology and a wide range of clinical areas across the Mater including:
- obstetrics and midwifery
- maternal fetal medicine
- neonatology
- neuro-developmental, child developmental and community outreach
- paediatric endocrinology
- child and youth mental health
- adult and paediatric respiratory medicine (including sleep disorders)
- cancer including haematological, prostate and breast cancer
- endocrinology
- gastroenterology
- infectious diseases.
