Mater recognises the value of research as an integral part of quality health care. Every year in clinical departments throughout Mater’s hospitals, exciting new research projects are taking place. Mater’s commitment to research spans the areas of basic science, health services, preventative and clinical medicine and population health research.
This report contains a brief outline of research projects being undertaken at Mater Health Services. The source of this information is Mater Research Register. This Register was established in 2005 to maintain records of all research being undertaken at Mater.
Currently, 237 researchers undertaking a total of 453 research projects are registered on Mater Research Register.
