Acute Care and Rehabilitation Services - South Brisbane

Mater Private Hospital Brisbane Annerley Road Campus is a 48 bed facility where rehabilitation services and acute care services are managed. Our rehabilitation service utilises a multidisciplinary approach where nursing staff, VMOs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, dieticians and pharmacists work together to ensure best patient outcomes are achieved. Our therapy gym allows patients to spend dedicated time with their therapists to concentrate on specific components of their care and to improve confidence and safety for return home.

In conjunction with this, we have 4 acute care beds. This service focuses on delivering comprehensive medical and post-surgical care, particularly to patients who require additional time to recuperate prior to discharge.

The day therapy rehabilitation service operates four mornings per week to continue rehabilitation and recovery after return home. The focus in day therapy is often to equip patients with the skills to return to work or driving and regular activities at home.
