B.S.A.H.R.S.

An easy way for consumers to access allied health services within the community.

Aims of the Brisbane South Allied Health Referral Service (B.S.A.H.R.S):

  • The Service aims to provide a central contact point for HACC eligible clients to access allied health in the QEII district.
  • The service aims to provide the best service for the client based on the following information:
    • discipline required
    • the need for Centre based or Domiciliary service
    • client address
    • urgency
    • client preference.

The following allied health services may be accessed by the service:

  • dietetics
  • occupational therapy
  • physiotherapy
  • podiatry
  • speech pathology
  • social work
  • pharmacy.

The Brisbane South Allied Health referral service has an agreement with participating Allied Health agencies to allocate the client to the service provider that is closest and most able to respond within the urgency timeframe as outlined below:

  • urgent within 24 to 48 hours
  • semi-urgent within two weeks
  • non-urgent up to five weeks.
