Dr Wong obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Monash University in Victoria in 2000. During his residency with the Southern Health Care Network, David completed his rotations within Melbourne’s metropolitan and regional hospitals, developing his interest in what would become his chosen career—pathology. David then completed his pathology training with two years at Ballarat base Hospital, a further three years at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, and obtained his fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2008.

David is excited to be starting his career with Mater Pathology, with its reputation of high ethics and standards, and looks forward to working closely with such an experienced team. His pathology training includes soft tissue, neuropathology, lung pathology and cytology, with a developing interest in dermatopathology and gastric pathology.
