As an extension of the Mater Health Services philosophy to provide for the health care needs of the community Mater Pharmacy offers a full pharmaceutical service at our hospitals. To further extend on this philosophy Mater Pharmacy has recently opened a comprehensive health solutions pharmacy for people in the bayside community. Mater Pharmacy services include:

pharmaceutical dispensing and advice to patients of Mater Hospitals and members of the public through the central, ambulatory and private pharmacies

Home Medicines Reviews for individuals at home and Medication Review Services for those in residential and aged care facilities

telephone-based information and advice provided by pharmacists to consumers throughout Australia in association with the National Prescribing Service (NPS). Call NPS Medicine Line on 1300 888 763 or NPS Adverse Medicine Event Line on 1300 134 237 Monday to Friday 9 am–5 pm AEST (except national public holidays)

co-ordination, management and support of all Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials at Mater Health involving pharmaceuticals

state-licensed manufacturing of non-sterile pharmaceutical products.
