Program Outline
Mater Respite Service provides three programs—the centre-based day program, centre-based extended hours program and the overnight respite program:
Centre-based day program
- open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, excluding public holidays
- meals provided (including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea)
- special dietary requirements catered for.
Centre-based extended hours program
- accommodates the needs of working carers
- open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 6 pm (subject to carer’s needs)
- meals provided (including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea)
- special dietary requirements catered for.
Overnight respite program
- available Monday to Thursday
- accommodation provided in Mater Adult Hospital
- care recipients participate in the day program from 8.30 am.
- clients staying more than one night return to Mater Adult Hospital at 4 pm.
