Mater Respite Service provides three programs—the centre-based day program, centre-based extended hours program and the overnight respite program:

Centre-based Day Program

• open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, excluding public holidays
• meals provided (including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea)
• special dietary requirements catered for.

Centre-based Extended Hours Program

• accommodates the needs of working carers
• open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6 pm (subject to carer’s needs)
• meals provided (including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea)
• special dietary requirements catered for.

Overnight Respite Program

• available Monday to Thursday
• accommodation provided in Mater Adult Hospital
• care recipients participate in the day program from 8:30 am.
• clients staying more than one night return to Mater Adult Hospital at 4 pm.
