By Laws
Mater Health Services hospitals are owned by the Sisters of Mercy and operated by Mater Misericordiae Health Services Brisbane Limited, a company incorporated under the Corporations Act and specifically established by the Brisbane Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy for the operation of their health ministry in Brisbane.
The By-Laws for Mater Health Services have been in place since 1 November 2002. They apply to the hospitals operated by Mater Misericordiae Health Services Brisbane Limited. This means the Mater Adult Hospital, Mater Children's Hospital, Mater Children's Private Hospital, Mater Mothers' Hospital, Mater Mothers' Private Hospital, Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Private Hospital Redland.
