About Occupational Therapy

Two dynamic teams, a paediatric occupational therapy team and a team providing occupational therapy to adults are the foundation of Occupational Therapy Services at Mater. Occupational therapy services are provided in co-ordination with other members of the health care team to Mater inpatients and outpatients. Occupational therapy is also a core component of the Private Rehabilitation Unit, The Domiciliary Allied Health Acute and Rehabilitation Team and the Child and Youth Mental Health Service.

Mater Occupational Therapy services also maintains strong links with other health service providers, the University of Queensland and James Cooke University Occupational Therapy Schools.
