John Reynolds

Born in the United Kingdom and educated at Sheffield and Cambridge Universities, John moved to Perth in 1970.

John has more than 30 years’ experience in management at the CEO level in Top 100 companies both nationally and internationally. He initially worked for The Bell Group, prior to holding CEO roles in top 100 ASX listed companies including Fairfax, APN News and Media, and Normandy Mining.

For the past 15 years, he has pursued a portfolio career, including Chair of Queensland Cotton Holdings, Arrow Energy, Swanbank Paper, Access CMC and Mater Education Limited. Concurrently, he was a Director of The Bank of Queensland, Brisbane Powerhouse Pty Ltd, Davidson Recruitment, Rowland Communications and Mater.

John is also an advisor across a range of interests including professional services organisations, the CEO Institute and executive mentoring.

John has also served on the CQ University and Southern Cross University Boards, the Board of Tennis Australia and in 2000 was awarded the Australian Centenary Sports Medal.

He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management.

He has held the position of Director since July 2004. John currently sits on the Human Resources Committee (Chair), Strategy and Planning Committee (Chair) and the Board Nominations Committee at Mater.
