Mater Board has seven sub-committees that meet regularly throughout the year to guide direction across key strategic areas of Mater's business. The sub-committees make recommendations for action to the Mater Misericordiae Limited Board, which retains collective responsibility for decision making.
Sharron joined Mater Group in early 2013 and is an experienced Senior Human Resources Leader having worked for more than 20 years in the hospitality, entertainment and group training industries.
She has a strong generalist human resources background skilled in managing and leading diverse functions and engagement projects. Sharron is passionate about building and maintaining strong internal partnerships to ensure the organisations she works with thrive. In her career, Sharron has built and developed high performing HR teams that deliver HR advice, support and services across all areas of their organisations.
Since joining Mater, Sharron has worked predominantly within the HR Business Partner function and in August 2018 became the HR lead with a vision of working with Mater and the HR leadership teams to implement a new people plan in line with the group strategy at Mater.
Prior to joining Mater, Sharron worked in a number of senior human resources roles at Tabcorp Holdings Limited and Jupiters Limited (now Star Entertainment Group), where she held HR accountability within four of their five divisions, throughout her 15 year tenure. In these roles, she was a part of the team that developed and implemented a new external and internal brand and engagement strategy as well as a national shared service division and was also a part of the leadership team that merged Jupiters Limited with Tabcorp Holdings. Sharron brings this experience to view a future with Mater as an engaged workforce looking to the future of health while maintaining our focus on our patients, their families and our community.
