2022 Graduate Program Timeframes

PLEASE NOTE: Enrolled Nursing Graduate programs are only available to Mater Diploma of Enrolled Nursing Students.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED for the August 2022 graduate in-take.

Please allow at least 4 weeks after the closing date (3rd April) to receive an update on your application. 

Under no circumstances do we allow late submissions. 

Confirmed Graduate Recruitment Timeline for mid-year in-take:

Applications open  14th March 2022
Applications close 03rd April 2022
Interviews May - June 2022
Offers & contracts July 2022
Commencement month  August 2022

Please note: These are guidelines only; time frames may change however rest assured you will be provided with email updates along the way during your application process.

FAQ's - Applications: 

When will I receive an update?

Throughout each application process the graduate’s team will reach out to you once we have an update. This may mean you won’t receive an update for a period of time up until August 2022. Please refrain from contacting the graduate’s team unless you do not receive any form of update after the end of August 2022.

Will I receive feedback?

Only those who attend an interview will be provided with feedback regarding their application. Due to the high volume of applications received and the bulk graduate process we run, no feedback is provided during any other application stage.

Can I apply for a grad program after the portal closes?

When the portal closes, under no circumstances do we accept late submissions so please be prepared and apply during the application window. 

Do not email your resume or cover letter to the graduate’s team, we do not accept emailed applications at any stage of the recruitment process. You must go through the application portal only.

Who should I contact for assistance with my application?

Mater's Graduate Programs for Enrolled Nurses is designed to assist graduates with the transition from study into nursing.  The programs allow Mater's graduates to work within a supportive learning environment to provide exceptional care to patients. 

We offer positions for newly qualified enrolled nurses working across Mater's hospitals at South Brisbane, Redland and Springfield.

If you are successful following your face-to-face interview you will be requested to provide 2 (two) references.

Please make arrangements in advance to have these references completed prior to your potential interview:

If you are selected to progress to reference stage following an interview, your 2 references are to be emailed by your referee to graduates@mater.org.au within 1 week after your interview.

Please do not email your references or reports to Mater prior to being requested for an interview.
