No, only the tenant or tenant’s representative is required to complete the Tenant Acknowledgement Register. Type 1 and 2 tenants are required to acknowledge that they and their staff are vaccinated against COVID-19.

Yes, Mater reserves the right to deny access to Contractors and Suppliers engaged by a Tenant from entering a Mater hospital or clinical facility if they cannot provide their vaccination status from 1 November 2021.
The Pfizer (Comirnaty) vaccine and Moderna (Spikevax) vaccines are approved for use in those aged 12 years and over.
For a Type 3 tenant, any staff entering clinical areas is required to be vaccinated.
Mater will not refuse care on the basis of vaccination status.
The Australian Medical Association’s Code of Ethics , which is rooted in the Hippocratic Oath, requires doctors to “provide care impartially and without discrimination on the basis of age, disease or disability, creed, religion, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, criminal history, social standing or any other similar criteria.”
Ensuring our staff are fully vaccinated is the best way to protect our workers, patients and visitors.
Outpatients with booked appointments with Mater clinicians or tenants are not required to provide evidence of vaccination status.
