Thank you Mater nurses

International Nurses Day is one of the most important days of the year at Mater.

It’s a day when Mater thanks and applauds the thousands of nurses who work in Mater hospitals and health services.

Mater Health Executive Director Daniele Doyle said Mater’s Mission of providing compassionate care to the community would be impossible without nurses.

“Every person who works at Mater makes a difference, because we all have a role in providing compassionate care to our community,” Ms Doyle said.

“But on International Nurses Day we say a special ‘thank you’ to our nurses.

“They provide outstanding medical care, but they also give our patients comfort, support and hope.

“To every Mater nurse, at every Mater hospital, we say ‘thank you’.

Mater nurses are based at South-East Queensland hospitals in South Brisbane, Redland and Springfield, as well as in our regional hospitals in Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton and Mackay.

The dedication and professionalism Mater nurses have shown throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been an inspiration to their colleagues across the Mater.

On behalf of the patients and families our nurses have cared for, Mater says thank you to our incredible nurses.

You make us proud to be part of Mater.
