Biography
A/Prof Hingston is an experienced General Surgeon with a clinical interest in breast surgery with 25 years’ experience as a specialist surgeon.
A/Prof Hingston has held a long term special interest in bilateral breast reduction surgery (see www.breastreduction.com.au) as well as in breast cancer and breast reconstruction surgery. He is also a GESA approved colonoscopist with an interest in bowel cancer prevention.
A/Prof Hingston has worked in and around Port Macquarie in NSW for the last 18 years as a specialist surgeon. However, he has recently decided to help in Mackay, and is the surgical supervisor of training at Mackay Base Hospital. He has also recently been appointed as the Senior Lecturer in Surgery at James Cook University, Mackay Campus, where he is active teaching medical students.
A/Prof Hingston is available on Friday at Mater Private Hospital Mackay for surgery and consultations.
