Biography
Associate Professor Manjit Pawar is dual trained in the UK in internal medicine and intensive care medicine, and previously was the head of intensive care in a large teaching hospital in Singapore.
A/Prof Pawar is Director of Medicine at Mackay Base Hospital, as well as an Associate Professor at Central Queensland University. Dr Pawar treats all general medical conditions with a focus on hypertension, diabetes, peri-operative care, pre-op optimisation and sepsis. Alongside his post graduate training he is completing a Master in Public Health and Business Administration from James Cook University as well as peri-operative training from Monash University.
Outside of work Dr Pawar is a keen rugby union player, having represented The British Parliament Rugby in Major Parliamentary Tournaments including the Japan 2019 Parliamentary World Cup.
