Biography

Dr Greg Malone is a urological surgeon at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton. He has clinical interests in prostate cancer and pelvic uro-oncology, laparoscopy, prosthetic surgery and general urology.

He received his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1992 and in 1998 completed a Master of Medical Science degree. Dr Malone completed his Fellowship examinations and training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2001.

In 2008 he undertook post-fellowship training in the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System with an emphasis on robotically assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Dr Malone was a member of the surgical team involved in the first robotic radical prostatectomy undertaken in Queensland.
