Biography

Dr Jacquie Taylor is a clinical haematologist fellow at Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane. In 2011 Dr Taylor completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours at Griffith University. She subsequently commenced specialist clinical and laboratory haematology training at the Mater Hospital Brisbane, Gold Coast University Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital.

During her extensive training Dr Taylor gained invaluable experience in managing and treating haematological cancers, thrombosis and bleeding disorders, haemopoietic transplantation, obstetric haematology and non-malignant blood disorders. She is a fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA).

Dr Taylor is a strong advocate for clinical research, multidisciplinary care and supporting the ongoing education and training of the next generation of medical professionals.

Outside of Icon, Dr Taylor is a laboratory haematologist at Mater Pathology. She values strong communication to achieve the best possible health outcome.

Her clinical experience covers a wide range of malignant and non-malignant blood disorders including multiple myeloma, leukaemia, lymphoma, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative neoplasms and obstetric haematology.
