His focus is largely on adult reconstruction and sports injuries. Dr Pretorius is dedicated to offering his patients with the latest in digital surgery by using Zimmer Biomet’s ROSA® Knee System for total knee replacement, where appropriate. In addition, he spent a year at 1 Military Hospital in Pretoria doing adult reconstruction (hip/knee/shoulder arthroplasty) as well as sports medicine (shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery and reconstruction).

Dr Pretorius was in private orthopaedic practice from 1998-2005 at The Willows in Pretoria before migrating to Australia. He gained his Fellowship in orthopaedics from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007.
