Queensland Sleep Disorders Unit
The Queensland Sleep Disorders Unit provides a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment service for all sleep and respiratory failure disorders including consultations with accredited sleep physicians. Services provided include:
- clinical assessment and management advice
- referrals to affiliated specialities ie ENT and psychiatry
- vigilance testing for workplace and driver competency
- overnight polysomnographic (sleep study) evaluation and reporting
- continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) treatment studies
- CPAP education, ongoing assistance and evaluation of treatment by qualified scientific staff
- 1300 free call helpline for doctors and patients
- home and hospital based ventilatory support for patients with respiratory failure.
