After spending 30 years in Catholic Education, Alanna made a career change in 2019 to become Director of Mission for Mater Private Hospital Townsville and in 2021 was appointed Chief of Mission for Mater across Queensland.
Having begun her teaching career in the Toowoomba Diocese, Alanna has resided in Townsville for the last 25 years with 15 of those years in leadership in Catholic schools. Alanna has been involved with school boards as both a parent and leader, with her four daughters all having attended Catholic schools.
Alanna has Masters qualifications in Educational Leadership and Theology, has been a member of the Townsville Diocesan Education Council for over 5 years, and has recently been appointed Chair of the Diocesan Audit and Risk Committee.
She brings a strong regional perspective to our leadership team, as well as a deep understanding and commitment to our Catholic identity and heritage which lies at the heart of who we are and how we care for our patients and each other.
