Our rehabilitation service uses a multidisciplinary approach where nursing staff, specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, psychologists, podiatrists, orthotists/prosthetists and pharmacists work together to ensure the best patient outcomes are achieved.
The team collaborate with patients and families to promote a supportive, goal-orientated rehabilitation environment. Our rehabilitation programs include both overnight and day services.

Annerley Road Rehabilitation (South Brisbane)
Annerley Road Rehabilitation centre is a 48-bed facility, dedicated to your wellbeing and recovery with a state-of-the-art therapy gym and inpatient rehab nursing care and therapy.
There is also a multidisciplinary day therapy program attached to this facility for those eligible patients within the community.
- neurological conditions, including stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, or following neurosurgery
- orthopaedic conditions of the upper and lower body such as hip or knee replacement surgery, spinal surgery, lower limb amputation or recovering from fractures
- general reconditioning following prolonged illness, multiple injuries or respiratory conditions
- after falls at home
- a range of chronic conditions requiring management including but not limited to lymphoedema and chronic pain
People may be admitted to rehabilitation after acute illness or injury. Others may have longer term or chronic conditions, currently managed at home however may benefit from a period of rehabilitation.
A preadmission medical review is undertaken for all patients and recommendations can be made regarding rehabilitation needs and options.

Mater Private Redland Rehabilitation Unit provides a comprehensive and multidisciplinary inpatient rehabilitation service to individuals after injury or illness.
The service allows for rapid transfer to an acute care environment and access to specialist consultations in the areas of orthopaedics, urology, geriatric medicine, oncology and other specialties:
