
Secure access to patient information
Mater Doctor Portal (MDP) is an online portal that provides registered medical officers with access to a version of the patient's clinical record.
It is similar to the Queensland Health Provider Portal (HPP/The Viewer).
What information is available?
There is a large range of clinical information that can be accessed via MDP including:
Inpatient - attendance and discharge summaries
Outpatient - attendance, appointment information and correspondence
Emergency - attendance and clinical summary notes
Allied Health - attendance and appointment information
Mater at Home - referral summaries, progress notes, care plans for nursing and allied health services.
Theatre - operation and endoscopy reports
Pregnancy / maternity information - antenatal, labour & delivery, and postnatal, including discharge summaries and home care summaries.
Oncology / chemotherapy - day presentation and summaries from encounter and treatment pathways
Pharmacy - full dispensing history

Register for Mater Doctor Portal
To access Mater Doctor portal, you will first need to register for Mater's online security platform, MyMater ID. This will create your unique and secure ID.
Click Continue with MyMater ID button then click on Sign Up to start the registration process.
You will need to be a medical officer with AHPRA accreditation, and you need to be working in General Practice.
Driver's license or passport details are required to complete the Request Access steps. Please note this process can take up to five business days as the verification process is manually reviewed and not immediate.
Mater Shared Electronic Health Record
Mater's Shared Electronic Health Record (MSEHR) is currently unavailable for Medical Director and Best Practice system users to upload or contribute to patient records electronically. You may still view hospital records via Mater Doctor Portal for fast and easy access.
Genie practice management system sharing for MSEHR remains functional.
