No smoking, alcohol or drugs
Mater is committed to providing a safe, healing environment for every person in our care. To protect the health and wellbeing of patients, families, and staff, smoking, alcohol, and illegal drugs are not permitted in any Mater hospital or health centre.
Smoking is not allowed inside our buildings, on our grounds, or within five metres of our property boundaries. This applies to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors. If you smoke, please speak with your nurse about support options such as nicotine gum or patches during your stay.
Alcohol and illegal drugs must not be brought onto our premises or consumed during your time at Mater. We ask that visitors also respect this policy.
