Benjamin Uprichard was appointed General Manager of Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast in 2026, bringing extensive experience in private hospital operations, clinical leadership and health service management.
Benjamin joined Mater from Aurora Healthcare’s Currumbin Clinic, where he served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He held a number of senior leadership positions with Bupa and Healthcare Australia, including Regional CEO for Mayo Private Hospital and Forster Private Hospital.
Benjamin's career began at the bedside in intensive care at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, before he moved to Sydney Adventist Hospital and progressed to Director of Critical Care. He is MBA qualified and brings a strong blend of clinical insight, operational discipline and commercial leadership.
