Chris Went joined Mater as Chief Operating Officer in 2023, and was appointed Executive Director, Mater Hospitals in 2024.
Ms Went has held Chief Executive Officer positions at St. Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital. She was integral in developing strong relationships with the medical community, as well as seeking out new opportunities for improving and expanding service provision.
Ms Went began her nursing career in 1992 and has completed postgraduate qualifications in the clinical specialties of cardiology and emergency care, as well as Business Administration.
