Mark Cathcart

Acting General Manager, Mater Private Hospital Townsville Health Leadership

Mark Cathcart was appointed Acting General Manager Mater Private Hospital Townsville in September 2026 as cover for General Manager Stephanie Barwick, who is on maternity leave.  

Mr Cathcart will provide continuity of leadership and support for teams, clinicians and patients during this period. With extensive experience and understanding of Mater's operations, he will work closely with the Townsville leadership team to maintain high-quality care and service.
