A/Prof Mike Beckmann

Associate Professor Beckmann is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who was appointed as a staff specialist at Mater in 2005.
He progressed to key leadership roles, including General Manager of Mater Mothers’ hospitals in Brisbane and Director of Medical Services for Mothers, Babies and Women’s Health Services before being appointed to his current position in 2024.
A/Prof Beckmann has expertise in health informatics and is an experienced health services researcher, leading numerous innovations in healthcare delivery to improve safety and efficiency and enhance patient experience.
