Mr Hunter was appointed Interim Executive Director of Mater Education in 2025, having played a pivotal role in developing the nationally-recognised healthcare education and training provider since 2018.
Passionate about building Queensland’s healthcare workforce of the future, Mr Hunter has a strong focus on governance, operations, and strategic growth to drive financial performance and educational outcomes.
Mr Hunter holds qualifications in Business, Project Management, and Information Technology, and has extensive experience in leading teams, driving strategic initiatives, and improving business operations.
He leads a team that delivers an end-to-end education process, including student applications and admissions, curriculum development, training delivery, professional experience placements, student engagement initiatives, and digital education solutions.
