Mater's Graduate Programs for Registered Nurses are designed to assist graduates with the transition from study into nursing.  The programs allow Mater's graduates to work within a supportive learning environment to provide exceptional care to patients. 

Mater Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse/Midwife Graduate Program - Transition to Professional Practice

Applications for our 2019 mid-year Graduate intake are now closed.  Positions are available within our Adult Services program and Mothers, Babies and Women's Health - NCCU and Registered Nurse/Midwife Dual Degree only. 

Please note that Registered Midwifery positions are only offered at the beginning of each year and are not available for mid-year intakes.

(Please note the Mater Enrolled Nurse Graduate Program is only open to Mater Education Diploma of Nursing graduates and eligible Mater employees. Details on the EN program will be emailed to all eligible students. Find out more about Mater's Diploma Program.

In order to be eligible for our program applicants must submit the following:

  • Resume/CV
  • Cover letter - no more than one page
  • Answer all required application questions

Clinical Placement Reports and References

If you are successful for a face-to-face interview you will be required to provide:

  • Final placement reports for each of your clinical placements and
  • Two references.
