Mater Hospital Springfield Emergency Department is now open, providing prompt assessment and treatment for patients with urgent medical conditions, ensuring high quality care when it matters most.
Patients can self-present or be referred to the emergency department. Every patient is triaged by an experienced Registered Nurse on arrival to ensure that patients are treated in order of their clinical urgency. Patients who are assessed to be safe may have to wait longer for further assessment and treatment or admission to hospital.
