Dr Alan Cheng is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides comprehensive pregnancy and women's health care, delivering and operating at Mater Mothers' Private Hospital and Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.

Dr Cheng believes that exceptional care begins with a warm, genuine partnership built on trust, compassion, and open communication. He is committed to supporting women and their families through every stage of their healthcare journey, ensuring they feel informed, empowered, and cared for along the way.

A graduate of James Cook University with First Class Honours, Dr Cheng completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has gained extensive experience across major public and private hospitals throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

Dr Cheng is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and has completed advanced training in colposcopy, hysteroscopic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and general obstetrics and gynaecology.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Cheng is a Clinical Lecturer with The University of Queensland and James Cook University, contributing to the training and development of future medical professionals.

Originally from Hong Kong Dr Cheng is deeply passionate about serving Brisbane’s Chinese speaking community.
