Biography
Dr Aleksandra Lange is a consultant cardiologist at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Hospital Brisbane and a Director of LifePulse Cardiology, with expertise in cardiovascular imaging, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and cardio-oncology.
Her clinical approach integrates advanced imaging (including echocardiography, CT coronary angiography (CTCA), and coronary artery calcium (CAC) scoring) to deliver precise, personalised, and evidence-based care.
At LifePulse Cardiology, Dr Lange has developed dedicated cardiovascular prevention and early risk assessment clinics, with a focus on identifying under-recognised cardiovascular risk and supporting long-term heart health.
LifePulse Cardiology has also established dedicated cardio-oncology clinics to support patients before, during, and after cancer treatment. These clinics focus on cardiovascular risk assessment, early detection of treatment-related cardiac complications, and prevention and management of heart disease in patients receiving or recovering from cancer therapy.
Dr Lange has a particular focus on heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), coronary artery disease (CAD), cardio-oncology, and preventive cardiology, with an emphasis on early detection, risk stratification, and long-term cardiovascular health.
She has made internationally recognised contributions to cardiac imaging, including pioneering work in three-dimensional echocardiography and the development of novel diagnostic approaches to better characterise cardiac function.
Dr Lange is a Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland and is actively involved in numerous research projects focused on improving the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease.
At LifePulse Cardiology, she is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centred care supported by the latest advances in cardiovascular medicine at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Hospital Brisbane.
