Dr Allison Waung

Dr Allison Waung is a consultant rheumatologist with a wealth of experience in healthcare and rheumatology. Completing a wide variety of training across the state allowed her to develop an interest and proficiency in a wide range of inflammatory autoimmune and connective tissue diseases.

Her diverse experience has enhanced her understanding of the diverse needs of the Queensland population in terms of rheumatological care across the entire adult lifespan.

Dr Waung studied at the University of Queensland School of Medicine and completed her Basic Physician Training at the Mater Hospital Brisbane. She then went on to complete her Advanced Training in Rheumatology at an array of Queensland sites, including the Prince Charles Hospital, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the Caboolture Hospital, and the Gold Coast University Hospital.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and a member of The Australian Rheumatology Association.
