Dr Amy Mellor

Dr Amy Mellor provides services in obstetrics, gynaecology, and the sub-specialty field of paediatric and adolescent gynaecology.  Her practice is located in the Salmon Building within Mater’s South Brisbane campus. Dr Mellor has worked in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology since 2000, working in private practice since 2009.  She enjoys providing continuity of care to girls and women throughout their various life stages, in all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology.​  

Dr Mellor provides private obstetric care to her patients throughout the pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.  She also offers a collaborative model of care with Endorsed Midwife Erin Boyd, who provides antenatal education, on-call care for emergency presentations, care throughout labour and birth, and home visits following discharge from hospital. 

Weekend obstetric cover is shared with a group of 9 other female obstetricians if required, though Dr Mellor provides care during labour and birth for the vast majority of her patients.
