Dr Amy Mellor

Dr Amy Mellor provides services in obstetrics, gynaecology, and paediatric and adolescent gynaecology.  Her practice, shared with Dr Megan Castner, is located in the Salmon Building within Mater’s South Brisbane campus. Dr Mellor has worked in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology since 2000, working exclusively in private practice since 2009.

Dr Mellor provides sole obstetric care, a model which provides continuity throughout the pregnancy, delivery and postnatal period. She enjoys being able to provide girls and women continuity of care from childhood to older age, in all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology.  Obstetric patients have access to the services of practice midwife Kathy Lerato, including antenatal education and postnatal support. 

Weekend obstetric cover is shared with a group of four other obstetricians when required, though Dr Mellor provides care during labour and delivery for the vast majority of her patients.
