Biography

Dr Andrew Mulligan is a general cardiologist who has subspecialty training in heart failure and advanced echocardiography.

Andrew undertook his medical training in Melbourne, graduating from the University of Melbourne, and undertook his initial training at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Western Health, and completed his cardiology advanced training at Western Health, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peninsular Health. He completed a Masters of Medicine by research with the thesis “The management of acute decompensated heart failure in a geriatric population: evaluation of novel strategies in a contemporary hospital setting” at the University of Melbourne”. This is resulted in peer reviewed publications and presentation at conferences.

He then undertook the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation fellowship and two years of Echocardiography and Advanced Structural Echocardiography fellowship at The Prince Charles Hospital.
