Hip conditions, including developmental dysplasia, Perthes’ disease and Slipped Upper Femoral Epiphysis (SUFE), neuromuscular conditions, including cerebral palsy, conditions of the foot and hand, including deformity, congenital anomalies and clubfoot, limb length and limb deformity issues, trauma, fractures and infection, ingrown toenails, carpal tunnel syndrome, dupuytren contracture, ganglions and benign tumours, trigger finger and thumb, ulnar neuropathy.

Biography

Dr Annabelle Stabler is an Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeon. She enjoys all aspects of orthopaedics and trauma, and has a particular interest in children’s orthopaedics and adult hand surgery. 

Dr Stabler graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Queensland and returned home to the Gold Coast to complete her internship at the Robina and Gold Coast Hospitals. She completed her orthopaedic registrar training in a variety of metropolitan and regional Queensland hospitals. 

For further advanced training in paediatric orthopaedics Dr Stabler and her family moved to Hampshire in the south of England for a fellowship post at the Southampton Children’s Hospital,through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. After her fellowship, Dr Stabler has subsequently worked as a consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon in the UK. She has done additional training in adult hand surgery under the tutelage of Dr David Stabler. 

Prior to studying medicine, Dr Stabler graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with an additional year studying occupational therapy at UQ. Dr Stabler’s background led her to understand the importance of a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to the care of her patients, particularly those with complex needs. 

She is known to be a great listener and clear communicator with her patients, their families and other colleagues in the health care team.
