Biography
Dr Arul Sundaraj is a general surgeon and endoscopist committed to providing compassionate and holistic care to all of his patients at Mater Private Hospital Redland.
Dr Sundaraj completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Madras Medical College before obtaining his fellowship in basic surgical training with the Royal College of Surgeons at Edinburgh. He then pursued advanced surgical training in Australia and achieved his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2017. During Dr Sundaraj's training, he operated across major Queensland hospitals including the Princess Alexandra, Logan and QE Il Jubilee Hospitals.
Dr Sundraj has worked as a consultant surgeon at Caboolture Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital from 2018 and commenced private practice as a general surgeon in 2021.
Dr Sundaraj's main interest is in providing a safe and nurturing environment for his patients and developing a reliable rapport with their general practitioners. He is keen on maintaining a sound body and keeping a healthy mind, which he incorporates into his patient care.
