Biography
Dr Benjamin Fu is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of conditions affecting the mouth, face and jaws.
Originally from Brisbane, Dr Fu completed his Bachelor of Dental Science with honours at The University of Queensland (UQ) in 2006.
He spent four years working in both the public and private dental sectors before pursuing further qualifications, earning his Doctor of Medicine from Griffith University and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in research from UQ.
Dr Fu undertook his specialist surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Victoria and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS OMS).
During his time at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital and The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Dr Fu developed special interests in paediatric maxillofacial surgery, facial trauma, and orthognathic and jaw deformity surgery.
He completed additional fellowship training in orthognathic surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and later held a consultant position at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand.
